Odessa - 1954 (station established 1834). Active; focal plane 27 m (89 ft); three red flashes every 12 s. 26 m (85 ft) round cylindrical concrete tower with lantern and gallery, rising from a 1-story concrete building. The lighthouse is white; lantern painted red. Nautophone fog signal (five blasts every 60 s). The second (1888) lighthouse, which was blown up by German troops in World War II. Located at the end of a curving breakwater that protects the southeastern corner of Odessa’s harbor. Accessible only by boat.
