Ashizuri (Asizuri) Saki (Cape Ashizuri)
1914. Active; focal plane 61 m (200 ft); three white flashes every 30 s; in addition, a spotlight (JCG-3102) illuminates the nearby Yusuga reef. 18 m (59 ft) round cylindrical concrete tower with lantern, gallery, and four ribs. Entire lighthouse is white. Ashizuri Saki, the southernmost point of Shikoku, is a popular tourist destination; parking is provided, and there is a visitor center seen in a Google street view. The lighthouse stands on a very steep, almost knifelike promontory at the southeastern corner of the Ashizuri peninsula, commanding a spectacular view of the Pacific.
